This Privacy Policy explains how Finiti ("Finiti", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Finiti mobile application for iOS ("App").

This Policy applies to all users of the App and is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws, including:

  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR).
  • Apple App Store privacy requirements.
  • Other applicable privacy and consumer protection laws.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Summary (Privacy by Design)

  • No user accounts or registration.
  • No third-party advertising SDKs.
  • No sale or sharing of personal data.
  • Goal data, wallpaper style preferences, and automation status are stored locally on your device.
  • Wallpaper images are generated on device and never uploaded to our servers.
  • Limited, privacy-preserving analytics (via PostHog) to understand basic feature usage (counts only), without collecting goal titles or any content you enter.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary for the App to function and to understand basic usage.

a) Content You Provide

  • Goal data (title, start date, deadline).
  • Wallpaper style preferences (colors, position, shape, typography, font sizes).
  • Automation status (whether the iOS Shortcut has been configured).

All such content is stored locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or back up this data on our servers.

b) Device Permissions

The App may request the following iOS permissions:

  • Photo Library (Add Only) — to save the generated wallpaper image when the Shortcut runs.
  • Shortcuts — to schedule automatic daily wallpaper updates.

Permissions are requested only when required and can be revoked in iOS Settings.

c) Customer Support Information (Only If You Contact Us)

If you email support, we may collect:

  • Your email address.
  • The content of your message.
  • Any attachments you voluntarily provide.

This information is used solely to respond to your request.

d) Analytics (PostHog) — Basic Usage Counts Only

We use PostHog to collect limited, privacy-preserving analytics so we can understand basic app usage and improve the product.

What we collect (examples):

  • App opens (count only)
  • Number of goals created, edited, or deleted (count only)
  • Number of wallpapers applied or customized (count only)
  • Paywall views and premium purchase outcomes (count only)
  • Shortcut / automation setup events (count only)
  • Non-identifying metadata such as goal mode (goal vs. year), goal duration in days, selected theme name, and whether the user is a premium subscriber

What we do not collect via analytics:

  • No goal titles or any text you enter in the App
  • No rendered wallpaper images
  • No precise location data
  • No contacts
  • No content of custom colors beyond the built-in theme name

Device identity / accounts:

  • We do not require accounts.
  • We do not send your name, email, or other direct identifiers to PostHog for analytics.
  • Analytics are associated with a pseudonymous app/device identifier generated by the analytics SDK.

Opt-out:

You can disable analytics at any time in the App's Settings screen (tap the gear icon in the top-left). To request deletion of analytics data previously associated with your device, contact us at support@drobinin.space.

We Do NOT Collect

  • Names, usernames, or account credentials.
  • Location data.
  • Contacts.
  • Identifiers for advertising purposes (e.g., IDFA).
  • Payment or billing information (payments are handled by Apple).
  • Goal titles, custom color values, or user-generated text as part of analytics.

4. How We Use Information

We use information strictly to operate and improve the App:

  • Generate countdown wallpaper images based on your goal.
  • Store your wallpaper style preferences.
  • Set wallpaper via the iOS Shortcuts integration.
  • Respond to support inquiries.
  • Measure basic feature usage (counts only) to improve stability, reliability, and user experience.

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or AI model training.

5. Data Storage and Security

a) Local Storage

  • Goal data, wallpaper preferences, and automation status are stored locally on your device.
  • Rendered wallpaper images remain on your device (in your Photo Library if saved, or in the App's sandbox).
  • You can delete all App data by deleting the App from your device.

b) Security Measures

  • iOS sandboxing and system-level encryption.
  • No external databases containing user content.
  • No remote access to your goals or wallpapers.

Despite best practices, no system is 100% secure.

6. Third-Party Services

a) PostHog (Analytics)

We use PostHog as a data processor for limited analytics described in Section 3(d).

Hosting / region:

We use PostHog Cloud EU (hosted in the EU) to process analytics data.

b) Apple Services

Apple may collect data according to its own privacy policies when you:

  • Download the App from the App Store.
  • Make in-app purchases (handled entirely by Apple).
  • Use iOS Shortcuts to set wallpapers.
  • Save images to Photos.

7. Data Retention

  • Goal data and preferences remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.
  • Support emails are retained only as long as necessary to resolve your request.
  • Analytics event data is retained for a limited period for product measurement and improvement (we aim to keep this minimal and can delete it upon request where feasible).

8. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where applicable, data processing is based on:

  • Performance of a contract — providing App functionality.
  • Legitimate interests — responding to support requests and improving the App using limited, privacy-preserving analytics.
  • Consent — when you voluntarily contact support, and where required by local law for analytics preferences.

You may object to analytics processing by disabling analytics in the App's Settings screen or by contacting us.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access information we hold about you (if any).
  • Request deletion of support correspondence.
  • Object to certain processing or withdraw consent where applicable.
  • Complain to a data protection authority.

We typically respond within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

Finiti is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. The "Last revised" date will be updated accordingly.

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
